Who this policy covers.
This policy applies to personal data processed in connection with averon.systems, including technical and commercial enquiries sent by email and limited technical data generated when the site is accessed.
Averon is the controller for this processing. Client product or assurance data handled under a separate agreement is governed by that agreement and its applicable data-handling terms.
Information you provide and the service generates.
Technical enquiries
The contact form uses information entered in your browser—your name, role, organisation, work email, deployment context, deployment stage, area of interest, and general agent or system description—to prepare an email draft. The website does not receive or store those entries. They leave your device only if you send the draft through your email provider.
Please do not include credentials, client data, sensitive architecture, special-category data, or other confidential material in the email draft.
Technical and security information
The web server may process an IP address, request date and time, requested resource, browser or user-agent information, response status, and limited diagnostic information. Email providers process messages according to their own services and privacy terms.
Cookie preference
The site stores one essential preference cookie named averon_cookie_consent. Its value records only whether optional cookies were accepted or declined. Browser local storage is used as a compatibility fallback for the same value.
Why information is processed.
- To receive, assess, and respond to product and assurance enquiries.
- To arrange a scoping session and take steps requested before a potential contract.
- To protect the site, prevent abuse, and investigate faults.
- To maintain necessary business correspondence and comply with legal obligations.
- To remember the privacy preference selected in your browser.
Averon does not use enquiry data for automated decision-making, behavioural advertising, or profiling.
The grounds relied upon.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, Averon processes enquiries to take steps at your request before entering a contract and for legitimate interests in responding to professional enquiries and operating a secure website. Information may also be processed to comply with legal obligations.
If optional analytics or marketing technology is introduced in the future, it will remain disabled unless the required consent has been obtained. The current site does not load such technology.
How long information is kept.
| Information | Normal retention |
|---|---|
| Unsuccessful or non-client enquiries | Up to 24 months after the last substantive contact, unless a longer period is required for a dispute or legal obligation. |
| Enquiries that become clients | Transferred into the applicable client record and retained under the product or assurance agreement and legal record-keeping requirements. |
| Web-server security logs | Only for the period reasonably required for security, diagnostics, and abuse investigation, subject to infrastructure configuration. |
| Cookie preference | Up to 180 days, or until the cookie is cleared or the preference is replaced. |
Backups and provider systems may retain deleted information for a limited additional period before routine rotation completes.
How information is protected.
Averon uses measures appropriate to the nature of the data, including encrypted website transport, access restrictions, local input validation and normalization, and separation between initial email enquiries and sensitive technical exchanges.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Sensitive material should be exchanged only after an agreed secure channel and, where appropriate, a mutual non-disclosure agreement are in place.
Your data-protection choices.
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; to withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing; and to complain to the competent data-protection authority.
Averon may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions, including obligations to retain records or protect the rights of others.
Questions and requests.
Contact contact@averon.systems with the subject “Privacy request.” Include enough information to identify the relevant correspondence, but do not email identity documents unless specifically requested through a secure channel.
This policy may be revised when the site, processing activities, or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
